What Pool Harbor is

Pool Harbor is a record-keeping and coordination tool for pool owners and pool service businesses, currently in beta: features change, and you should keep independent records of anything critical (like warranties and receipts). You must be at least 18 to use it, and the information you provide about yourself and your business must be accurate.

Water chemistry information

Pool Harbor’s water-chemistry guidance is informational, not professional advice. It is computed from the readings you provide, and it is only as good as those readings. Test-strip scans are suggestions that you confirm or correct before saving — you are the final word on every number. Always verify amounts against chemical product labels — manufacturer instructions control. Never mix pool chemicals. Decisions about your pool, including who swims in it and when, are yours. When in doubt, consult a qualified pool professional.

Pool professionals and the directory

Pool Harbor is a platform that connects homeowners with independent pool businesses. We are not a party to any service arrangement — quotes, scheduling, workmanship, and payment terms are between the homeowner and the business. A Verified badge means Pool Harbor confirmed specific facts (such as liability insurance and business registration) at a specific time, shown on the badge. It is not an endorsement, a guarantee of work quality, or a background check. Choose professionals with the same care you would anywhere else.

Payments

When a business offers online invoice payment, the payment is processed by Stripe and goes to the business. Pool Harbor does not hold funds and is not a party to the payment. Refunds and billing disputes are between the homeowner and the business (and, where applicable, the card issuer or bank).

Visit records

Service visit reports become a permanent part of the pool’s record. They can be edited by their author for 48 hours after creation and cannot be deleted — by anyone — because they serve as service history and warranty documentation for the homeowner.

Accounts

One person per account; keep your password to yourself. Business owners are responsible for the technicians they add via team codes and should remove departed technicians promptly. We may suspend accounts used to harass others, misrepresent identity or credentials, or probe the platform’s security.

Your content

You own what you put into Pool Harbor. You give us the limited license needed to operate the service — storing your records, showing them to the professionals you connect, and delivering notifications. Don’t upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful. You can stop using Pool Harbor anytime and request deletion of your account and data (see the privacy policy).

No warranties, and limits on our liability

The beta is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We work hard on correctness — it’s the entire point of the product — but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free information during beta. To the fullest extent the law allows, Pool Harbor is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for the acts or omissions of businesses or homeowners you connect with, or for damage to pools, equipment, property, or persons arising from decisions made using the service; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Pool Harbor in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes, law, and contact
